Buttercup password manager

Using /e/OS Applications

Hi,

I have been testing the Buttercup password manager for some time now.
Testing it with an application on my Windows pc in combination with an extension in the Brave browser. Password file is stored on my server using webdav-protocol. It looks promising.
However the Android app is not available in the /e/ appstore on my phone. Using the app from an other source (apk4fun) does not work.
Any chance the app will be available in the /e/ appstore in the near future?

Have you tried getting it from Aurora Store (which gets its apps direct from Google Play store). It’s usually quicker than waiting for it to appear in /e/OS’s Apps

Hi,

I tried the install using Aurora and I can confirm that the app works.
Thanks for the information.
Installing and using the Aurora store is quite ‘overwhelming’.
I prefer using the /e/ appstore.
Anyway, now I can proceed testing Buttercup on /e/.

Additional info:
The app does install, but the app itself is erratic.
Vaultstatus shown on the home-screen does not always match with the actual state of the vault.
Furthermore 2FA doesn’t seem to work porperly.
