Calendar synchronization issues

Dear community, **
**
I’m encountering calendar synchronization issues between my phone (e/OS/ standard calendar app) and laptop (murena calendar web app). My phone shows an error message (“authentification error“ –> see screenshot 1). When I klick it and re-login with OAuth, the calendar app on my phone is synced with the murena web app version (deleting any events I had created on my phone). The synchronization works for a while, then the error message reappears and the sync is broken again.

Also confusing: If I check the properties of the murena calendar on my phone, it says that it is syncing (screenshot 2)

I appreciate if you could help me resolve this issue.

kind greetings from Germany

Oath2 is a known issue in v4.1.1 - update to v4.2 and retry

I’m having the same issues described here. I don’t see an option to upgrade to v4.2, I’m in the US, is is not live there yet?

I suggest to subscribe to weekly-updates to keep up to date with things.

The current 4.2 release is described

I’ve updated to v4.2. After restarting, calendar showed events missing earlier from murena web app calendar. However, a few hours later, newly added events didn’t sync and the error message (see screenshot in original post) reappeared.

did you go through removing and re-adding the murena account in Settings → Account ?
this should be a surefire way.

I see mureans are still tinkering in the token refresh logic so.. maybe v4.2 not the end of it. The long way to Oauth2 I guess

Same issue as original post in Asus Zenfone 8 (community build). There’s no 4.2 release yet.

After updating to 4.2 and doing the reauthentification, synchronisation works now for the last couple of days.

I’ll update this thread if the problem comes up again.
