I want to launch the Sony camera app in both cases.
The phone is a Sony Xperia 1 V XQ-DQ54 pdx234. The Sony camera app is named Photography Pro.
Sony camera in-app setting “Launch with shutter button” is on by default. Trying to turn it off crashes and restarts the app. It’s always on.
System setting “Camera button / Launch camera” is on.
These permissions for Sony camera app are on:
- disable your screen lock
- run foreground service
- run foreground service with the type ‘camera’
After disabling the the default camera’s in-app setting “Show camera when locked”, neither camera launches when locked. Sony camera still launches when unlocked. Now, after re-enabling the default camera’s “Show camera when locked”, nothing launches when locked. I don’t know why it broke. Restarting the phone doesn’t fix it. Uninstalling the Sony camera app fixes it, but reinstalling breaks it again, and nothing launches when locked again.
