I have a Pixel 7 running 3.0.4-t-20250709507786-official-panther. My Swedish banking app (Sparbanken) is working fine otherwise, but I can’t scan my bills. The app says the scanner (=the camera) isn’t starting, and I need to enter the details by hand. Any solution to this?
I have installed a Google camera mod, but the bundled camera app is still there and opens fine when I activate the QR code scanner from the pull down menu.
It’s working in my banking app, it just opens the camera. My only Advanced Privacy setting is Block app trackers, how do you have them set?
Same as you. I’m wondering if there presence of a modded Google camera app is the reason. I might uninstall it just to check.
Usually apps which aren’t a camera app, use the camera API meaning your standard app doesn’t matter which one you set.
My 2 bank related apps also open the camera without problem regarding payment slips.
Sorry, I didn’t quite understand. What does “standard app” mean here? Should I change some setting, and which one in that case?
My particular phone Moto Edge 2021 has two cameras also. Im unsure which one it opens though. I never use that feature but i will try again today to determine the camera.
Well for example if you use double tap power button, your standard camera app opens. If you install a new one, then you will be asked if you wanna use that camera opp once or always. ButmasjI sadi for banking and other apps that standard camera has no affect
OK, sounds like I shouldn’t need to do anything special? Also, the camera/scanner seems to work fine in other apps like Swish payment app and Bank ID, so it’s probably the app that has a problem with eOS, not the other way around.
