Can I get an @e.email address now?

Hello,
It seems that the only option of new opened murena cloud account is @murena.io address. However, I really like the legacy @e.email one, and genuinely wish to get one. Could you please tell me if it’s possible to do that? Thank you!

Hello, I wonder why “.io” for emails? IO is the country code Top-Level Domain for the British Indian Ocean Territory (ee here: .io Domain Delegation Data).

With actual existing geo-political problems, the “io” ccTLD could change hands (see here: .io questions in sharp focus as UK signs Chagos treaty - Domain Incite).

Creating an existing or secured new domain name extension for such emails wouldn’t be a good (more secured but expensive) idea?

I think .io nowadays are less considered as a cctld, but a tech related tld. and there are indeed known email providers using them, @tuta.io and @runbox.io, for example.
The main thing is the /e/ maintainers wish to reserve e.email for the stuff and notification instead of customer’s personal usage, I assume. The discourse notification email is from community@e.email, that’s probably why: they want to prevent abuse on that domain.
But the address is really, really minimalistic and beautiful (;_;) How I wish I could get one. Please consider making it available again, I would like to pay for that!
