When I try to download any app Lounge, the system says “the app hasn’t been found”.
I last updated the system yesterday (2026.04.27).
Any suggestion?
Thx
Hi @cm1972 welcome to the /e/ users forum.
If not due to Service announcement: App lounge servers upgrade in progress: Expected downtime about 1 hour
App Lounge may need a fresh start.
Settings > Apps > See all apps > App Lounge > Storage & cache > Clear storage
The above advice
- and more simple advice like log out and log in again
- turn off Advanced Privacy is seen in the app itself,
App Lounge > Settings page has this link showing in red as “Having troubles?” App Lounge FAQ.
If at first the problem persists be sure to take the advice to try later, like two to twelve hours later and have the phone fully charged as battery below a certain level is known to hinder or prevent download.
I’ve tried everything except the dummy Google account, and I absolutely do not want to do that. Thats why I got a de-googled phone in the first place. If I can’t not use google, I’m seriously considering going back to an iPhone.
As a workaround, why not simply use F-droid and AuroraStore ?
as AppLounge is basically an addition of both…
I was unaware of both. I will look I to that now
I cleaned the cache. Everyting works now.
Thank you very much!

Hi,
my AppLounge does not work after installing 3.7.2, not even after cache cleaning and data removal. Landing page looks normal, but neither updating nor looking at specific apps work, the screen just goes black as if trying to load. Not sure if I should report it here or in the 3.7.2 thread.

/e/OS 3.7.2 official
@Irene and @DebbieKay I wonder if you might both have Android 13 official. In the following thread the issue was specifically updating.
- (I had emphasised the thing I always find most significant, the logout and clear storage and don’t touch App Lounge for 12 hours. I believe, after a prolonged period of App Lounge being stuck, this gives the remote server to forget that this is a problem device.)
Perhaps read the thread from this point App Lounge not updating apps - #6 by peperfus and see if you can draw your own conclusions.
I’ve cleared the storage and cache. Left it alone for 24 hrs, restarted phone, nothing worked. To log into f-droid, I’d have to create a Google account for that. I’m not doing that. It won’t happen on my phone. Was able to install, open and use anonymous mode in the Aurora Store app to update the apps I have. I’m good with that.
need an account is not credible : f-droid.org
don’t forget to black-list all /e/ android default apps : auroraoss.com
