Cannot download Zipcar app (UK) with App Lounge

Hello. Zipcar is a car hire service that operates in a few cities, including London in the UK; the car is first unlocked through the app, which makes it necessary to use the app… I’ve been trying to download the Zipcar app (UK) through the App Lounge, but clicking “Install” redirects to the Google Play webpage within the App Lounge (weird behaviour by the way). I wonder whether it’s because of geographical blocking — Zipcar has country-specific releases — or because of some app signature. I am logged into a Google account, but I don’t know how to make sure that my country is set to the UK.

My phone is a FP4 running 3.14 /e/ OS with microG 0.3.8.250932-23.

I’ve found the com.zc.android APK on other platforms, is it considered safe?

Installs fine for me in UK from App Lounge. It has a very low privacy score [1] so I have not actually created an account.

You named the app correctly so you might attempt install if you have another source.

It is possible that Fairphone may have install problems with a few common apps, this is being investigated.

Thanks, I’ll give it a go at sideloading with apkeeper. I’ve downloaded from APKPure but I don’t really trust this third party.

Yes, I’m aware about the terrible privacy score… :frowning:
