Cannot install apps from App Lounge

I just received my FP6 with /e/OS/ pre-installed. Going through the initial setup went fine, but no matter how hard I try I am stuck at installing apps from the App Lounge. I’ve read the suggestions, created a dummy Google account, logged in, logged out, logged in again, cleared App Lounge storage, updated /e/OS/ to 3.5, but it still won’t budge. Whenever I tap on an app to open its store page one of two things happens: Either I get a black screen, or a message saying “Cannot show Google Play App when only Open Source apps are allowed”. I checked the App Lounge settings, and I have all app types enabled (“common”, “open source”, “PWAs”).

What could be causing this?

Thanks,

Jeroen

hi @jeroen1 welcome to the /e/ users forum.

Google account login had a bug in e-3.5. From what I read is fixed in e-3.6 which has been released.

Anonymous login “should” be working …

Many install F-droid and subsequently AuroraStore that way you have “options”.
