I am trying to install eos on a samsung A72 using these instructions
I previously downgraded the OS to the latest version of samsung android and managed to get through the whole of the above guide. I had a red error message in twrp when wiping data as described in section 8A so I formatted the drive to exfat and then back to ext 4. I then transferred the image e/os image to internal storage as instructed (although I had to select the “mount → mount usb storage” option on the phone to get the phone’s storage to work and there was no “TWRP” folder showing as suggested by the instructions, only empty internal storage)
Nonetheless I followed the rest of the instructions and after the “shiny blue bar” had gone across I rebooted.
However, after this rather than booting into e/os the phone booted back into team win recovery project. I assumed that something had gone wrong so I tried to follow the steps from the beginning of section (8) again. However, when I go into wipe → advanced wipe and hit “repair or change file system” I get a red message saying “invalid partition selection” and when I follow the advanced wipe instructions I get an error message of:
Android rescue party trigger! Possible solutions?
Either:
- Wipe caches, and/or
- Format data, and/or
3, Clean flash your ROM.
The reported problem is:
‘–reason=init_user_0_failed’
I also get another error
Error: opening:‘/data/media’ (No such file or directory)
I am able to connect the pc using mount → mount usb storage. But I cannot transfer anything to internal storage and if I go to the install page then only the (UP A Level) shows, not the TWRP folder shown in the instructions or the e/os zip file I previously transferred.
Can you please let me know how I can fix this?
FYI: the twrp version is: 3.7.1_12-0
