Cannot unlock bootloader for my Pixel 3 XL

(I’m using ABD to help me with commands) (Still able to enable OEM unlocking)
when i go into fastboot mode (adb reboot bootloader), i can see in device status my phone is locked without the (unlockable) part beside it.

when i am trying to flash bootloader, the output says even after it says my device is connected IN fastboot mode and CONNECTED with my PC.

I’ve tried checking my device manager for updates, changed my USB and USB input, and enabled OEM on and off, but it still gives the same output.

Did you follow the steps that you have to do on the phone to unlock it first? Edit: Is the phone currently at Android 12 (stock ROM)?

allowing unlock in developper options is not enough, you need to unlock the bootloader using fastboot and only then you can flash the custom recovery.

Install /e/OS on a Google Pixel 3 XL - “crosshatch”

If it says “locked” without “unlockable,” that usually means the oem unlock toggle isn’t actually taking effect. Some devices need you to connect to the internet after enabling it so it syncs with the server.

Try this:

  1. Turn oem unlock off, reboot, then turn it on again while connected to wifi
  2. Run fastboot flashing unlock after rebooting into bootloader.

If it still says locked, your carrier or firmware might have it hard locked, in which case you’ll need a factory image or a service tool to unlock.
