Can't add Hotmail/Outlook account to calendar app

I.e. the default calendar app. Using e/OS 3.0.4 on FP4.

I know it is Etar Calendar. I couldn’t find an issue on its GitHub page about it either.

are you using the Outlook app itself to offer the ms account to Android, or what’s the way?

I captured some screenshots recently for calendars / contacts sync through Outlook, but afaik you can also subscribe to .ics / webical Endpoints for calendars only without the Outlook App stuff

It seems that you have not read my post carefully enough. I mentioned it explicitly twice.
I.e. “the default calendar app”, and my second post about it being Etar Calendar. Also this forum is for default e/OS/ applications.

I guess I’m just one step ahead. Etar can’t add an MS account out of thin air, you need either a webical address (go through Accounts → add account → web calendar manager enter webical url published in Outlook) or the Outlook App method for all calendars, what will it be Wallby?

The smug tone makes me not want to continue this conversation. The point of a support forum isn’t about “being one step ahead”, but being kind to people who ask questions and not assuming their level of technological understanding. And the “out of thin air” and “what will it be” tone makes you sound like you look down upon me for asking the question to be honest.

I reacted to being told to read more carefully, but I agree - not a good energy. Look at the linked thread, I go to great lengths to get to the bottom of users issues (this was us before). You will find out eventually that the two options I present are viable routes

I couldn’t get those options you mentioned to work. I did find the calendar part in the account manager app. Thanks for defusing the situation, I know of myself I can get worked up as well about ambiguous things, not knowing how they are intended.

does this walkthrough video help?

(you’d need to download as the browser will not scale to height of the portrait screen capture)
