Chipolo won't pair on fp4

I have a new chipolo one that is supposed to work with google find my device. The instructions say to just push the button on the chipolo and a pop up should appear to pair the device. That didn’t happen. Trying to pair manually in the bluetooth screen shows the chipolo but gave an error that there was an incorrect pin or passcode when pairing.

I also tried installing the chipolo app and google find my app and pairing using the app. Chipolo app just sits forever waiting to find the device. Google nothing happens. I gave both apps bluetooth and location permissions. Pushed the button multiple times. Rebooted the phone. Anyone got this to work on fp4?

I saw the same behaviour.

Trying to work around this, I took a vanilla Android phone, enabled the multi-user feature and logged in with my Google account. I then could associate the device with my Google account. The surprising thing was that when I logged into the Find Hub app on my /e/OS phone I couldn’t see the Chipolo device. I was hoping it would be added into my account so I could track it from any device, but I can only see it from my friend’s device. So not sure how Android’s find my device thing works…

Same problem here but with a FP6 and a chipolo Pop. Maybe chipolo and /e/OS could jointly look into this? Both being alternatives to big tech…

I’ve just received my FP6. I have a Chipolo Pop and a Chipolo Card. None of them are recognised in “Find my devices”. They are not recognised either in Chipolo App
