I’ve tried to use CityMapper with eos3.2 on a FP6, but when I try to type destination on home page, the keyboard does’nt open and it is difficult to retrieve the usage of the app.
When moving the destination cursor over map it seems that I can take control again.
Not sure about this fact, but once, it seems that unlocking camera and micro with lateral FP6 button unlocked the situation.
Does anyone have the same trouble ?
Is it linked with eos or is it an app issue ?
No keyboard problem on Nothing CMF phone 1 (3.3 eos)
But when i push the “Go” Burton on city mapper it close the app. Not the same problems as yours but seem interesting to note all bug on this post about this app
Having the same issue on FP6/eOS3.4. I would really like to use it since magicEarth is just clunky and I don’t want to use google (duh).
Edit 1: I just noticed when the keyboard closes, at least I can use the map to select a location, but of course that’s not always a good option.
Edit 2: I just found a decent workaround. If you are using another launcher like nova, you can long press to access the app shortcuts. When you long-press CityMapper on your home screen, you get a “Go” shortcut. This allows you to type a destination and use the app somewhat normally.
the initial startup / drawing of the map is clunky, but after start / dest choice (with working keyboard) it will render the map and give choices after “Go”.
