CMF-Phone 1 Install script hangup

Hey There,

I bought a used nothing cmf phone 1 and am trying to install e/OS (IMG-e-3.4-a14-20260114569180-official-tetris.zip).

Stock Rom was:
Android 15
Sec Update: 1. April 2025
I’ve read that installing older e/Os than stock could be a problem but there is no A15 release for this device (yet?) and on other treads people told flashing A14 e/OS on Stock A15 CMF1 did work.

After figuring out the fastboot command hungup bug using this¹ article i was able to unlock the bootloader and get the flash scrip to detect the device.

But the flash script hung at:

Writing ‘super’ OKAY [ 0.489s]
Sending sparse ‘super’ 23/42 (131068 KB)

I tried restarting it but only got to the same point again. Is this a know problem? Is there anything i can do?

Thx, using a different cable solved the issue. Guess you can never know, which cable is gonna work.

I tried relocking but i guess this won’t work when flashing from Stock A15 to e/OS A14 although secpatch is newer on A14?

Yes, when relocking the bootloader is not mentioned on the install page then locking is not supported. As the ROM is installed as a fastboot ROM change of Android version is expected to be fine.
