Cmf Phone 1 New android version when?

Hello. Im new to eOS and wonder if the phone gets a15 or a16? i only see that A16 is planned but one year ago A15 was also “planned”. Thanks for the help

I don’t really care about running the latest and greatest version of android but not being able to install /e on the secondhand CMF 1 I bought because the previous owner upgraded it to 16 despite promising me they hadn’t is really irritating. The list of /e compatible phones is limited and tricky enough as it is.

The A16 update for the CMF1 (tetris) is planned with the release of /e/OS 4.5 in mid november. Fingers crossed :slightly_smiling_face:.

The install page Install /e/OS on a Nothing - Nothing CMF Phone 1 - "tetris" | /e/OS documentation does not tell us a specific Android version required before install of the current /e/OS a14 build.

The Fastboot ROM provided is expected to be capable to change Android version. Here, for instance, Rollback android 15 to android 14 - #20 by circonflex is a report on downgrade from a15.
