So I got a CMF phone 1 simply to run E/OS, still on android 14. Unfortunately, it regularly freezes up to the point I have to hard restart it. I’ve tried switching between gestures and bottoms, fingerprint and password, not much luck. I notice that its 99% of the time crashing when using a browser. If I was to hazard a guess it could be poor ram management, there’s no way I can find to add zram/swap. Wondering if there’s any fix as I’ve had a few updates since I got it and the problem has not improved.

Hi there. The crashes are experienced by a lot of cmf phone 1 users. I have installed v3.2 for a day now and haven’t had a crash since. Even with heavy browser use.

There seems to be a memory leak in a system app.

There seems to be a workaround by enabling zram. As I found out, there was a commit merged to the tetris customization by september.

I don’t have an idea if it affects this bug but i’m optimistic for it to be fixed soon.
