CMF1 - Problem installing E/OS

orange state os not being verified by custom OS. Dismiss after 5 seconds

  • Having installed the /e/OS - using the Installer on my CMF1 I am stuck on this message and the phone is not booting into the O. Can someone please advise?

There might be better responses by others who are more knowledgeable, but the same happened to me 2 weeks ago on a brand new CMF1. This was my first touch of /e/OS/ and first attempt using the web-based installer.
I solved the problem by following the command line manual install instructions (from MacOS) and successfully installed 2.8.

thanks very much for the reply Justin. I bought this phone brand new today too and it seems to be bricked. I have spent hours trying to get it out of the loop. Can you tell me what the MacOS is so I can refer to those instructions? Many thanks, Gordon

Hi Gordon,
I followed these instructions: Install /e/OS on a Nothing Nothing CMF Phone 1 - “tetris”
I mentioned MacOS as that is what i used - the instructions seem aimed at windows/linux but MacOS command line worked fine.

A bootloop usually means there is a piece of software missing and it is tryining to show it evertime without luck.

As long as you can boot into fastboot you should be fine. Can you try that? You will need plattform-tools (fastboot and adb).
