I have 2 apps that can use the location on my device, because i self host services, and this is used for automation and tracking. But because of this the location notification keeps poping up. I trust these apps, so i dont need this popup to bother me. Can you turn this off without remove the permissions of the apps?
Blissweather is checking? Or is it set to a custom location?
These apps have location permissions. But you see the blue icon at the top right, keeps poping up.
Could i disable this, I know that these app use the location services. Which is fine.
Unlock developer options in the settings and then turn off “Status bar location indicator”
Brilliant, that worked. Thanks ![]()
Still BlissWeather will check every now and then per day your location by default. You can also set a fixed location. This saves battery as it does not activate GPS unnecessary.
I noticed i needed to turn off “Status bar location indicator” again after a reboot, is there a way to make the setting persistant across reboots.
I don’t know, I just found it from a web search and tested it myself before I told you. I did see that people complained the setting needed to be re-applied for reasons but I didn’t bother mentioning it.
