Contacts disappeared twice from /e/ account

I created an /e/ account today and imported all my contacts from a .vcf file. Then I installed CalDAV accounts on my phone (Fairphone 3 with /e/ OS and my computer (MacOS).

Twice in the process, when I went back to my contacts in the /e/ account, they were all gone. Right now I have no contacts in my account, no contacts on my computer but they are all visible on my phone. What is happening and most of all, what should I do?

I can’t answer the first question, but the second one.
In the Contacts App: Menu - Settings - Export - Export to .vcf file
Then copy the VCF file from the phone to somewhere else.

Thank you - I have the vcf file actually. The thing is I need my contacts to synchronize between the phone and computer. That’s what I was trying to achieve by importing them into the /e/ account and adding the account to both devices…

Contacts keep disappearing!!
I disabled my /e/ account on all devices and reimported my contacts from a .vcf file into the /e/ web-app. When I logged in again, they were gone again. Is there any explanation for this? Is there a maximum number of contacts the app will allow? (I have 700+)
