On my p5100 (10" espresso3g)

first i tested to “dirty flash” the Oreo version over the existing Nougat, it result in a black screen.
also after that, i tried to “dirty flash” the Pie version, same result : black screen.

So i decided to reflash the Oreo version, but this time i did a “clean install” (i formated the /data partition after installing the /e/OS build), it boot the “e” bouncing for a very very long time (usual when first boot this device) and show the BlissLauncher screen with this message :

the android.process.acore has stopped working.

a reboot is often a good thing to do, so i reboot the device…

after that deception, i tried a “clean install” of the Pie version, → Black screen
so i took the LOS boot.img and i see the /e/ bouncing but nothing more

back to the booting Oreo version to further test :

wifi refuse to enable… (as bad as previous build)
I am not confident with my SIM card size adapter, so i am not sure of this statement, but my SIM is not yet reconised

last /e/ working version is still the nougat one from june 2020 by @ Android-andi…
