I would like to have my kids not downloading content from Youtube via Newpipe, is there a way to remove this function?
Or do you know about other alternative YT frontends which have the download option removable or not at all?
It is interesting that you ask this question here. I believe that the Murena devlopers will do nothing about newpipe functionality. Shouldn’t you post this question at the newipe development discussion hosted elsewhere?

I think your question is totally fine here.
I don’t use the Parental Control but maybe there are settings to disable the filesystem for that app.
One person who does use it might answer it one day.
