Decrypt Samsung Tab S5e (SM-T720) with TWRP recovery

After searching for hours for a solution and countles wipes /formating flashing with no success I´m wondering of someone could be of help?

I want my device decrypted (my device, my data :sweat_smile: ) simply because I need the option to make Nandroid-backups of the rom if I want to try another. But as you might know the backup with encrypted files fails.

So how do I keep my tablet decrypted whenever I install the /e/OS ?

The weak point here may be a combination of Samsung and TWRP. I believe the weakness of TWRP in this respect since Android 10 has been a large part of the motivation for LineageOS and /e/OS to develop a more simple Recovery.

Do I misunderstand you ? Sorry I did not read more carefully first time.

Encryption can be switched off on the device:

Settings > Security > Encryption.

Thank you for replying.

The settings/security/encryption is not changing when I tap on it so I can’t switch it of.

I’m wondering if it has something to do that the recovery is pre-rooted?
