Delay before phone rings

Hello,

if I make a call to my /e/OS smarphone (Gigaset GS290, /e/OS 1.4 stable) from any other phone, I can hear 4 ring tonalities on the calling device before my smartphone actually starts ringing. If I interrupt the call after 3 ring tonalities, then the call will simply not reach my smartphone. This is annoying.
Any ideas about this issue?
Thanks in advance.

You might want to try this:
Go to:

  • Settings →
  • in the search bar search for “battery optimisation
  • select “all apps” in the dropdown
  • Search for “cell” or “phone”, or scroll the list…
  • try to disable optimisation for “Cell broadcast Service
  • maybe also disable optimisation for “Phone service

I’m not sure if it will help, but it’s worth a try. I had some success with wonky apps when disabling “battery optimisation” for them.
