Since /e/OS is based on LineageOS, I am assuming the lower level OS functions (like hardware interfaces and device drivers) are carried over directly from LieangeOS, with heavy customisation mainly at the interface/launcher/default apps layer.
If that was true, I would expect the list of supported devices to be (nearly) identical between LineageOS and /e/OS, but the differences are significant.
Can somebody with a better understanding of what’s actually under the hood in /e/OS, help me understand the reason for this great difference in supported hardware?
