Noob question but:
Why should one use Treble/GSI over the normal method of installing a recovery and ROM? Where does Treble/GSI actually come in and what does it achieve?
GSI stands for Generic System Image. Those run on most phones that were sold with Android 8.1 and up due to Google requirements.
But thereās also some drawbacks, as far as I know you canāt get OTA updates working. I think thatās the reason thereās no official GSI.

Howeverā¦it says the base image is a few months behind. How can I upgrade it? I donāt mind flashing somethingā¦my phone is already setup on e: foundation. I am new to this ecosystem.

Iām assuming that to install GSIs on Snapdragon Samsung phones you still need to unlock the bootloader, in the conventional (paid because Samsung mean) mannerā¦
Are there any problems with using GSI ROMs instead of official builds?
Is the battery and performance optimization not there?
And are there easy ways of fixing the notification bar, as itās different for many devices and requires different margins.
