Device support (Project Treble)

That would totally do it ! Thank you !

Actually, the trick with making a colourblindess-compatible document is that information should never be colour-dependent only.

Treble app valid a Xiaomi Redmi 9 (M2004J19C) code name = lancelot. Any luck to be supported ?

Hi,

Noob question but:

Why should one use Treble/GSI over the normal method of installing a recovery and ROM? Where does Treble/GSI actually come in and what does it achieve?

GSI stands for Generic System Image. Those run on most phones that were sold with Android 8.1 and up due to Google requirements.

But there’s also some drawbacks, as far as I know you can’t get OTA updates working. I think that’s the reason there’s no official GSI.

Isn’t it the contrary ? No OTA updates because no official GSI (yet) ?

Hi. I installed the generic image on my Pixel 3a (sargo). It works great…

However…it says the base image is a few months behind. How can I upgrade it? I don’t mind flashing something…my phone is already setup on e: foundation. I am new to this ecosystem.

harvey186 I see that you seem to know a lot. I installed a generic a/b treble image on my pixel 3a sargo. It works fine. but it says the base image is months out of date.

How can I manually upgrade it?

I’m assuming that to install GSIs on Snapdragon Samsung phones you still need to unlock the bootloader, in the conventional (paid because Samsung mean) manner…

Are there any problems with using GSI ROMs instead of official builds?
Is the battery and performance optimization not there?
And are there easy ways of fixing the notification bar, as it’s different for many devices and requires different margins.

Dead link now …
All GSI build have dead links, where to find a stable repository to have GSI build ?

Hello.

This was to @e_poco_user 's builds. /e/team’s ones are linked in “week 19” (up page):
