Device tree for Fairphone Gen. 6

Hi,

my name is Andreas, I just got a Fairphone with eOS installed. In the past I did several device bringups to LineageOS, e.g. sltexx, lilac, beyon0lte etc. Some of the device trees are located at What a Wurst! · GitHub or are maintained in LineageOS upstream in the meantime.

I wanted to look at the fp6 device tree for eOS, but I’m not able to find it at devices · GitLab

Could someone point me to the right location?

Thanks

it’s the proper location - last I checked DT isn’t public yet. Kernel is GPL so probably should be (but isn’t, just at fairphone), devicetrees are Apache

What a pity!

I thought about buying a second phone and start to contribute :frowning:

Do the sources from stock android help? They should be at The Fairphone (Gen. 6) - Kernel Repositories — Fairphone Open Source

… or the link above that The Fairphone (Gen. 6) - ODM Android Source Code — Fairphone Open Source

This is the source tree from our hardware and software supplier T2Mobile. It contains all Android and Linux kernel sources that we can publish, excluding some proprietary components. It is not possible to actually build this from source, since it depends on proprietary toolchains and sources.

This sucks

TheMuppets have FP3 - 5, maybe FP6 will be along later? … or extract ??

I guess GitHub - ArianK16a/android_device_fairphone_FP6 is the interesting tree for now.

@Manoj do you know if there is a planned date for the public release of the FP6 DT?
I’d be interested in contributing / tyring to tinker around the side slider to make it work nicely
Thanks

Yes, the team would be making the FP6 device trees public. We do it for all devices once the initial development and optimizing for /e/OS is complete. They do not have a date set for if. Will share when I have any more details.
