Difference between Stable, Beta and Dev

Hi There,

Pretty simple question. I understand the difference between Stable and Beta. However, I want to know what the difference between Stable/Beta and Dev is. I am looking to install the Dev branch on my daily driver Samsung Galaxy S9 because I want some of the main features of the Q OS.
