Difficulty re-arranging icons on home screen pages

Hi,

I have difficulty moving icons between pages on the “home screen”.
As I try to move an icon left or right to an adjacent page of the home screen, the scrolling of the pages is so fast that I keep arriving either on the last page or on the first page, I cannot easily move an icon to arbitrary pages between the first and last.
Is there a way of slowing down the scrolling of pages?

I am using /e/OS version 1.14 on a Fairphone 3. (I have had this problem with all versions).
