Every time I receive a new mail, a wobbly sound is played. I’m not able to disable any mail app notification because its grayed out (but active). How do I fix this?
I’m using a fairphone 6 and e/os 3.2-a15…

yes, this slider should be user-mutable. It’s been a long standing issue for all default apps. There’s a ticket to improve this with the Android 16 bringup.
Until then, you need to go through Mail app itself to handle notification behaviour:
