Do not lock screen when switching off screen

I would like the screen not to lock (immediately) when I switch off the screen.

Rationale: when I have my navigation app (osmand~) running while walking or cycling, I regularly put the phone back in my pocket. Just before I do that, I switch off the screen to make sure no touching happens inadvertently. When I grab it again, I must first enter PIN before getting back to navigation. Of course, this is very annoying. What are my options here?

I had this configured once when I was running LineageOS on this phone (Galaxy S10), but that was based on an older Android. I do not remember how exactly, but I cannot find a setting anywhere that does this in this current Android /e/OS installation.

the Settings for this used to look like this (Android 10):

The setting Power button instantly locks is also available on Android 11 (LineageOS) as well as Android 13 (/e/OS)!
Browsing the settings over and over was not enough: I overlooked it everytime :-/

Thanks @tcecyk for the tip!

Often, the easiest way to find something within settings in the later versions of Android is to search for a keyword, e.g. locks, button, power, etc.
