Don't accept if seal is broken Fairphone 6 /e/ delivery

Hi,
i just received a fairphone 6 with /e/ directly from Murena through Paris, France.
1 Side of the seal was “open”. I took it out and it looked like it was untouched, at least by hands.

Would it be possible, if anyone could have messed around with the Phone, to reflash it?
Could there be anything with the bootloader or something else?

Any help appreciated!!

Cheers

Thanks

More likely customs opened it. Were you within France or did it come from France to you in another county?

Was the other size closed? Maybe it just happened in shipping.

You could contact support and ask about it.

Hi, it went to Germany.
other side was closed.

I will do it. Yet they are all other else then fast in their answering. I m still waiting for a message 6 days ago.

The seal of the Fairphone packaging?

Maybe it is from flashing the ROM on to it, you know /e/OS most of us use here

Hi, the seal was by murena, not by fairphone.

It is 100% the same case!

Update over at fairphone.community:

I just had the same situation happen.
Phone from Murena, one seal open.
Any explanation.

If you would have read correctly you might have read that Murena asks users to contact support.

I have emailed support, still waiting for a response.

I hope you mean that you used the Murena Contact Us form linked from the page below, It was reported that the old Helpdesk AT murena no longer connect.

Yes I learned that about the help desk.
I also used the contact form.
Mihi,
What was I supposed to read?.
Nothing that I came across for warned of a broken seal on a new phone. I understand the factory sticker yes, but the Murena sticker I don’t understand. It’s even more strange that I’m not the only one this seems to have happened to.

Hi there,

I recently purchased a CMF Phone 1 from Murena.com with /e/os pre-installed. When the phone arrived, it appeared that the Murena seals on my box had also been opened.

At first, I was confused and a bit worried. But upon closer examination, I think the seals simply broke in transit. I assume the seals should be rugged, tamper-proof plastic, but they are just paper stickers. With all the jostling in transit and a small amount of play between the box and its lid, I think the seals weakened and ripped on their own.

Look carefully at the picture, the original Nothing box seal was clearly sliced with a blade, whereas the Murena seal appears to have simply shred apart.

Perhaps this explains why some folks mysteriously received their phone with only one seal broken? That’s my theory, anyway. What say you?
