I would like to download some ringtones and notification sounds. Is there a web resource? I used the search function but all I found is the location on the phone, which I can’t access as my phone is not rooted.
Could anybody point me in the right direction, please?

Rooting not required. Once you have a sound clip (you can just record one yourself or take a clip from a recording with a sound editor) just use Files app to add the file (most regular formats seem to work) to the directory Ringtones or Notifications.
Now within either Setting below, Add new file first, and then Select from
Settings > Sounds > Phone ringtone | Default notification sound.
Message app allows to set a non default specific Ringtone.

I want to use ringtones and notification sounds of my e/os phone in a secondary phone and need to download or access the e/os files.
Sorry as I wrote my reply I thought I must be missing something. I am not certain if /e/OS has “own” sounds but I found a collection here GitHub - Aleks-Levet/Android-stock-sounds-library: Android alarms, notifications, and ringtones extracted from an AOSP android device. Useful if your phone manufacturer removed them... · GitHub where I seem to recognise at least some of the sound names.
