DuckDuckGo privacy rating and F-droid store

I forget for what reason, but I installed DuckDuckGo privacy browser on my eOS phone. I got it from the f-droid store.

When I look at the advanced privacy in eOS it says DuckDuckGo has 92 leaks!!!

I know this is not an eOS issue, but maybe some community members can help me to understand.

Why does the f-droid store offer this as an open source app if it has so many leaks?

Regain your privacy! Adopt /e/OS the deGoogled mobile OS and online servicesphone

As far as I understand, leaks are just data sent to any known data collector. The ones you are seing come from browsed pages, I have the same result with Firefox, nothing related to the browser itself.

Browsers do use all these trackers, else you would not be able to browse the internet. If you have ever used TrackerControl app, you know for browsers you turn of TrackerControl

Though the IronFox browser I use, makes a couple of my Websites functions unuseable :man_shrugging::man_shrugging:.
