Dyslexic Fonts for e/OS

Hi all,

I’ve found that fonts like OpenDyslexic have been helping me read things more clearly as of late. I see that this font is available within the Murena Cloud web interface which I appreciate.

I noticed in e/OS under [Settings > Wallpaper & style > Fonts] there’s no option to install or add additional fonts. I wouldn’t mind having the option to install the font myself, but really I’d just like to have this font available as part of the OS to make it easier for users such as myself who benefit from these features.

seems still unaddressed in Android itself. There’s an opened issue on this - Proposal of Accessibility Mode (#324) · Issues · e / Backlog · GitLab - with some more digging there is probably a module around that can be included at build time.

I think a “dirty” (warnings apply) way to do it is to go into adb root (if dev branch install) and push any ttf you want to the already present Font Names in /system/fonts - maybe not use Roboto/Standard but ones of the font-families not used in the default (Rubik / Lato / Noto). According to one of the 2 android issues in opendyslexic, “zFonts” seemed successful in adding fonts.
