/e/ compatability with T Mobile?

Hello, I am from the USA. I don’t know much about smartphones but would like to learn more. I’m interested in buying a samsung phone with /e/ preloaded, but I am not sure if they woud offer compatability with my current cell service provider T Mobile. Does anyone know if this will be an issue if I plan to buy a preloaded phone? Any help is appreciated.

At present, the biggest problem for US-based customers is probably that /e/solutions.shop does not deliver outside the European Union - including North America…

Otherwise you will have no problems with your Prover T-Mobile as long as the /e/phone supports these 4G/3G2G frequencies:

Band 12 (700 MHz) - Extended Range 4G LTE
Band 71 (600 MHz) - Extended Range 4G LTE

Band 2 (1900 MHz)
Band 5 (850 MHz)
Band 4 (1700/2100 MHz)
Band 66 (Extension of band 4 on 1700/2100 MHz).

On a private level there will certainly be a solution for you.

So the refurbished phone will need to be compatible with those frequencies, in order to use T Mobile? Is there a way to know if the phone will use those frequencies ahead of time before I purchase one, or is every refurbished model unique?
(I have relatives living in EU that could ship this phone to me)

EU Samsungs are using different hardware from US Samsungs … So are they compatible with US networks ?

I’ll ask /e/ for the exact model (codename) of the phones, and check here : https://www.frequencycheck.com/ or here : https://willmyphonework.net/

Samsung’s SoC ‘Exynos’ (EU) or Qualcomm Snapdragon (US) is not the decisive factor, but the modem, which especially supports the different 4G frequencies.

A Galaxy S7 (EU) supports the following bands / frequencies:
4G bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 38, 39, 40, 41

In North America GSM 850, 1800 and 1900 are standard and these signals are processed by Tri- and Quadband phones.

1900 MHz = Band 1.4, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20
1800 MHz = Band 1.4, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20
 850 MHZ = Band 1.4, 3, 5, 10

When traveling to the USA, Europeans only need to use a corresponding US SIM card and can make calls with my Samsung S7 ‘Exynos’ (EU).

A Galaxy S8 (EU) supports the following bands / frequencies
4G bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 32, 38, 39, 40, 41, 66³

A Galaxy S9 (EU) supports the following bands / frequencies
4G band 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 32, 38, 39, 40, 41, 66³
