/e/OS 2.5 t on SAKE Zenfone 8

Dear all
after upgrading from 1.21 dev to 2.5 t com some things don’t work properly that are important to me, as i use the phone as dialy driver:

  • choice of sim card for calling
  • camera choosing lenses
  • dialer app not showing properly
    Is there a way to go back to 1.2X
    or can anyone try to fix it?

I’m also on a Zenfone 8 running 2.5.

I can’t test multiple sim cards, as I only have 1.

Camera lens selection is working for me on the main camera app, but it isn’t the one I normally use. Which app are you using? Is it the one that comes with /e/?

Dialer shows up normally for me. It could possibly be related to the dual sim issue if you can’t choose which one for calls.

Your phone may just need a reboot or something. Not sure that was helpful, but if you have anything specific you’d like me to test I’m happy to help.

You could probably do a fresh install with 1.2 as the version, but that would likely retire wiping the device. If you are gonna wipe it anyways, I’d try a regular factory reset first.

Good to hear there are some other people using this phone on /e/OS.

After installing a mod of gcam ‘AGC9.2.14_V12.0’ the camera works as expected.

After playing around and doing something today suddenly the priority for SIM1 in caller app is working again. It was really annoying to make a choice of sim for every call, especially when driving.
