Hello everyone. I have no idea about IT, so here’s my question: I’m using an old Galaxy S7. It runs on e/os 3.4 herolte. The Android version is 12 and has not received security updates since last year. Should I still use herolte? Many websites specifically warn against using Android 12.
Welcome to the Community.
Either you are running a different (significantly lower) /e/OS version than 3.4 or your system is up-to-date. /e/OS version 3.4 was released just 1-2 weeks ago
Feedback for v3.4
I just had a second look and you might want to add if you are on the community or the official build of /e/OS. Have a look into Settings > About this phone to find the exact version number your device is on.
The community version for your device will no longer receive updates (final release 3.0.4), but the official version is up-to-date (3.4), see
If you are on community, you will need to manually switch to official to continue to get updates.
Sadly Android 12 (S) as said in the linked post will not receive Security updates … you are still awaiting news on when this can be rectified.
