@Null when you have gsi images available you’re happy with, you’ll want to mark this as “solution”, not my comment on hardcoded heap sizes. If you then implode the buildscript in a “hide details” cascading element (behind the gear wheel in discourse) the newly pinned solution/gsi download is easy to see for people first hitting the thread
Yeah sure, just let me know how I can support you
I’m uploading the sourcecode for this ROM to Github now, I will make that as the solution to this thread and start a separate thread without bring-up clutter for the release candidate GSI
.
Again, thank you very much @Null, for this present you give to the community.

i just found that https://xdaforums.com/t/ultimate-gsi-guide-for-beginners-where-to-find-gsi-how-to-port-gsi-how-to-flash-gsi-etc.4695349/
I would like to delete the end of the sentence in point 7, which in my opinion leads to confusing.
Samsung devices:
Unlocked bootloader is needed. To see how to do that, check here. Some Samsung models are not supported for bootloader unlock
TAKE BACKUPS!
- Flash custom recovery for the device. To see how to do that, check here.
- Format data. It will wipe EVERYTHING
- Put the .img GSI, vendor.img (if port manufacturer GSI) to your phone.
- Go to file manager /sdcard and locate your gsi
- Select the GSI and rename to system.img. Do the same with vendor.img
- Go back and press: install
- Select Vendor file (if port from manufacturer). If not, flash the gsi directly
- Flash it as Vendor
- Reboot-Power off
- Reboot back to your custom recovery
- Select mount and mount vendor only
- Go to file manager and delete vendor/overlay
- Flash Permissiver
- Reboot
it is a generic howto… in first place i was thinking to link to the entire thread because it is very complete, but it could be preferable to pick up and rewrite some parts and quote it as a source…
In the other hand, i am also very embarrassed with that maner, so i will discuss with the autor…
The majority of instructions on the WWW assume that a custom recovery is available. Certainly, this makes flashing a GSI on a Samsung Galaxy easier. But if no custom recovery is available, and this applies to many Galaxy’s, then it becomes exciting and more labor intensive. Samsung Galaxy is a world of its own… Get first impressions and visit Generic System Image (GSI) list > Show 444 more pages… Samsung…
So, now Ihave a somewhat GIS enabled Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) and it does run a OneUI treble, but neither die old /e q-version, nor the IMAGE from @Null
Any in put on how to go about from here?
The answer isn’t hard for me to guess.
