Just for information. Fresh install from ubuntu is not possible. The device is not recognized. From Windows it works.

Can you tell us what exactly is not working in ubuntu but in windows? Is it the ADB recognition or did you try using the EasyInstaller instead? Or is it even something else?
Would be nice to know where the issue is occuring for further investigation.
