/e/OS not showing German keyboard "Umlaut"-Chars

Hi,

/e/OS is set to show German keyboard, but it is not showing German char such as “öüa” etc.

“Einstellungen” → “System” → “Sprachen und Eingabe”

“Sprachen” is set to "Deutsch (Deutschland)

“Bildschirmtastatur” is set to “Android Tastatur (AOSP)”

How do I get special chars for German alphabet?

Do you mean it is not showing them when the keyboard gets displayed … which it will indeed not do … or do you mean it is not showing them when you long-tap the corresponding base letter (e.g. long-tap a for ä etc.)… which is the normal way to access them?

Please also check the settings there … Einstellungen - System - Sprachen und Eingabe - Bildschirmtastatur - Android-Tastatur (AOSP) - Sprachen

omg the main issue is always located in front of device…

Long-tap button shows alternative language related characters. So all good :slight_smile:
