I am using native /e/OS notes app since 2 weeks, but I have some trouble with note’s cloud syncing.
One week ago I had pop up messages in app telling me that syncing fails. Using some forum hints, I tried to reset my Murena account in phone settings. It solve the issue for some days, but now I am encountering the same issue.
Is it a known issue ?
Is there any simple solution other than resetting account in phone settings ?
From my POV you can wait for the upcoming eOS v3.1.x, try the Nextcloud Notes app, open a bug report on Gitlab or wait along to see if other users are also affected
…and perhaps also wait for the Nextcloud infrastructure update ;- )
The synch of notes doesn’t work for me since today.
/e/OS 3.0.4, FP6, notes v3.7.4.
I have checked status on status.e.foundation, everything is green.
I have restarted the phone, sale problem.
I have checked notes on Murena web site, they are not synchronized.
I have tried to swipe down to refresh app, I have a popup “synch error”. I tried to click on " Plus…", nothing happens.
The sync option is activated in Murena web site.
I had the same problem in July. I had to delete account frol the FP6 and reconnect it again.
By the way, I have checked the sync of mails like Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo.
I can see mails received in inbox on websites but nothing in Mail App on FP6.
I takes sometimes more than one day to receive the notification about new mail in Mail App.
When I reply to a mail, it takes long before hearing the sound that mail is sent. Before that, mail is in Outbox. And there is nothing in outbox of mail website.
Deleting mails takes also long time before it is synchronized in mail website.
Few years ago, I remember it was immediate.With 3.0.4 on FP6, I have to checked manually mail websites to be sure I don’t miss a mail.
Notes sync (to Murena cloud) is still not Working. Client synchronization in the cloud is activated. When will this be resolved? Same for the Mail APP & contacts (last was edited) ….

Even if Note syncing is not critical, it’s operation should not depend on a luck factor…
To go further, Notes suddenly synced while the phone was connected to Wi-Fi.
Whatever the problem is, it seems the combination Murena apps/Murena cloud is not dependable, unfortunately.
I don’t think it is luck, it was joke. Don’t you think there were more complaints if syncing is not working on a wide base?
If you want to get this solved probably you have to dig deeper in technical details like, phone type, os version and what you already tried for fixing…and setup some on device debugging…and perhaps contribute on this one:
Correct. On my FP4 I face account sync, notes sync and mail sync issues. This is holding me back to get a paid workspace. I do mis the stability of the cloud & apps.
As cloud solution I’m think to stay filen.io and for mail at posteo.de . Looking for a reliable all in one (eco) system and maybe have to explore mailbox.org more in detail. AND on the other hand I do like the murena.io project, and I’m happy I ordered 4 years ago a degoolged PF4 device:face_blowing_a_kiss:.
