/e/OS on Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e (Wi-Fi) - “gts4lvwifi”

Hello everybody.
I am trying to flash /e/OS on the TAB S5e.
Unfortunately following the install instructions did not lead to success.
I always end with “Signatuer verification failed”.
I also have a feeling that some steps are missing or maybe iti s because I use linux for flashing.
Does somebody have an “IDIOT PROVE” installation guide for this device?
(WINDOWS can be used if necessary or much simpler.)

You can try the LineageOS instructions for Tab S5e:

At the end just sideload the eOS ROM instead of the LineageOS ROM

What recovery are you using TWRP or /e ?

IF TWRP: Did you unchecked signature verification in TWRP settings?

Check signature some other way, or just trust the source you got the ROM image from

Interesting to see the practical response of @make-nz – I teat this as a warning only. Other install methods can suppress this warning … but I don’t think this is critical to your failure and in my experience will “generally” happen with /e/OS ROMS. As usual, happy to hear different.

I use(d) the /e/ one.

I will follow the Lineage instructions when I find the time.
We will see what happens.

I can’t say which device, as I test a lot of Samsung’s, but I remember having this issue on initial installations.
Try TWRP, it’s the Swiss army knife for custom ROMs and when things are working well, turn on the option to update recovery with updates, in system update settings
