E/os rookie needs help w/ Authentication App

Using /e/OS Applications

Hi all,

I am new to e/os and would need your support to make the below App work on my Murena Fairphone 6:

reports.exodus-privacy.eu.org/fr/reports/com.LuxTrustMobile/latest/

App’s called LuxTrust and I really need it for my day2day.

Technical requirements to use this App are the following:
The LuxTrust Mobile app is compatible with iOS 13 (or newer) or Android 7.0 (or newer). For security reasons, LuxTrust does not accept rooted or jailbroken devices.

Can anyone advise if it is possible to make it work on my e/os ?

if you or any other FP6 official user might confirm: /e/OS ships this official image with adb root disabled, right?

Which error did you see, this one?

Error code: LT_ROOTED_DEVICE: LuxTrust mobile app has stopped working because the configuration of your device may compromise data security

the luxtrust app does lots of device environment probing.

One of these checks goes positive and misattributes it to being rooted. Here’s some grapheneos users complaining and those are definitely unrooted and relocked.

I had the same issue with an authentification APP (AGOV). Turning off USB-Debugging made the APP work. Maybe that also helps for you.

Error message to I get when trying to open in the App is the following :

Error code: LT_ROOTED_DEVICE

LuxTrust mobile app has stopped working because the configuration of your device may compromise data security.
This may be due to the Xiaomi Mi Home app.
Please update the Xiaomi app to the latest version.
If you are experiencing this issue without Xiaomi app, please call us on (+352) 24 550 550.

So I called the service desk who confirmed that you need Google or IOS.

In short I am stilk stuck.

it was a userbuild after all, wait another release until it is a user build proper, then better chances

J’utilise un smartphone murena 2, et d’après le mail du support LuxTrust, ce téléphone n’est pas supporté par LuxTrust.

J’aimerais donc documenter cette plainte pour éviter que le système d’exploitation /e/OS (émergent et prometteur) soit pris en compte lors des futures versions de votre application.

De plus, j’aimerais connaître les alternatives disponibles qui ne consisteraient pas à acheter un smartphone sous un système d’exploitation qui réduirait le respect de ma vie privée.
