I have two phone numbers for my phone. In the previous one I used physical sim cards but since fp6 has e-sim I’m using that. I have both sim cards set up but I can’t use them at the same time. When I go into settings, only one card seems to be active at the time. When I make a call the active sim card is being used and there’s no way for me to choose the other number. When I click the gray button to activate the other sim card I get a window asking me if I want to start setup to use several sim cards at the same time. I go through the settings and click Done but it doesn’t change anything. Except the default sim card becomes whichever I picked as default for mobile data. Why can’t I set both sim cards as in use?
You can use only one physical SIM and one eSIM. You can add additional eSIMs but only one will be active at any time.

I had no idea. Thanks! I ordered a new physical sim for one of my numbers.
Fwiw, I would recommend a physical SIM for you primary number, eSIM for secondary, if that’s possible. This’ll allow you to keep you primary number active at all times, even if you’re getting a temporary eSIM for travelling, etc.
