Proudly presenting my e/os Brompton. Picture taken on my Murena Fairphone.
With my employment currently in the railways I travel for free within my country so I’m realising this is probably my most sustainable time of my life. Banking with Triodos as well, amongst other things.
As far as banking goes, only real ethical options in are building societies like Nationwide and banks like Triodos(in the UK). With that said Triodos have no competition when it comes to ethical banking. Nationwide offer mortagage’s and members are owners so to speak. It’s structured more like a cooprative. If Triodos did mortages I would probably be with them.
When you personally draw that line where you decide you wont accept certain business practice’s from banks the choice quickly narrows down. The same logic brought me here to Murena and Fairphone. None are perfect but are certainly worthy of our support and commitment.
I also tried to advertise /e/OS a bit by putting a sticker on the back of my Fairphone, but unfortunately, they’re not of great quality and therefore bleached out quickly due to constantly touching it. But well, it’s not a company building stickers, right?
