Recently, I decided to remove and add my yahoo account on my phone as I was not able to send any mails due to my VPN. I did this action while the email app was open, and now impossible to launch it : it keeps stopping. Though I receive the notifications saying that I received a new mail, but still no way to open the app. I did a cache AND storage erase for this app, I did reboot my phone, but no way I’m getting this working. I can’t even delete it and add it again, as it’s a system app !
Any help is welcomed,
Greetings.
I did see that @piero, but I don’t understand how a server outage could be linked to a local app. It’s not about receiving my mails, it’s about launching the app. I may not fully understand how works the app, though.
Do you mean in the mail settings ? They’re unreachable. In the phone settings, yeah my yahoo account is connected. And as I said, I receive my mail but just can’t launch the app.
No, I meant in settings → accounts. Where mostly all your accounts are for Signal, Threema, etc.
I thought maybe cause there still are settings with your Yahoo account and deleting mail app storage no trying to access something which is kinda deleted and not.
I think i have solved the problem by disabling and enabling again the auto-refresh content option in the accounts section of the settings. I can launch the mail app again, even if the auto-refresh is activated. Only time will show if this was a temporarily problem.
Many thanks for your help.
Greetings!
