I can’t work out this workaround, even after reading the GitLab info. (I’m a persistent noob…)

I keep getting this error in the /e/ Account Manager as I try to readd my account to the Mail app:

This app tried to access sensitive info in your Google Account. To keep your account safe, Google blocked this access.
I’ve been able to use the workaround, despite the fact the google is basically hiding the feature of releasing a password for apps. Unfortunately, this morning I deleted one account on my FP4 e/os 2.7 and I cannot anymore add that account, even using the famous workaround. The system, in any case, tries to add the account in a sort of “automatic” way that fails. Should it be possible to manually add an email account, I’m optimistic that it could work. But… is there a way to manually add an email account in our email client? I didn’t find it. M.
