Email not allowed on gitlab

I am trying to create an account on e.foundation’s gitlab to report an issue with /e/OS, but receive the following error:

1 error prohibited this user from being saved:

  • Email is not allowed. Please use your regular email address. Check with your administrator.

I am using my regular email address. It is a @posteo.de mail address, a German privacy-concious mail provider. I can provide the full address in PM.

Getting an error message new ID Gitlab

We should maybe open a GitLab issue to allow more domains - posteo.de is a paid service after all, so spam should not be expected.

To create an account on Gitlab you needs a Murena workspace account ID. Please check this guide.

@Manoj Which is the preferred way to ask for posteo.de users to be able to register on the /e/OS GitLab? I understand that the e foundation prefers to allow only a limited set of domains; posteo.de is however a paid service, so I do not think that there will be any spam.

As mentioned above no other domains are allowed to create new accounts on gitlab. There is no way to ask for other domains to be allowed into Gitlab

Ok. Your service, your rules. I will not create a new email address to voluntarily contribute by creating issues for bugs, though. And I guess I am not alone.
