eOS for Galaxy A3 2016 installation problem

Hello everyone, I would like to install e OS on my Galaxy A3 2016.
However, e OS says the following:
Warning: Downgrading Smartphones already on Android Q or LineageOS 17.x to Pie or other OS can cause instability or at worst brick some devices.

My A3 is currently running LineageOS 18.1.
Should I downgrade Lineage OS, before installing e OS?

welcome to this forum

This old Recomandation is for recent devices, and more relative to Stock OS level.
Actual /e/ version for your device is Q based.
latest Samsung firmware is Nougat based, no conflict here.

but some parts were possibly optimised by lineage 18.1,
so restore to latest Samsung OS to start from scratch is always a safe way.
