I sometimes cannot send photos in the build in message app. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. I cant find a pattern. All I get is message under the photo: “Failure during send. Tap to try again” (my translation from Danish). I tried to tap again, but no change.
Any ideas what to check or settings to change?

Message app > 3 bar top left menu > Settings > Autocompress MMS attachments.
For many carriers Automatic is a good choice. If not working perhaps experiment working up from quite a lot of compression. Your carrier may have information online of how they deal with attachments but photos are regularly downsized (a lot) from the Camera output.
@asbjornn I have the same problem on a FP4 using the Danish carrier eesy. Which carrier are you using?

Reducing to less than 1mb allows me to send today. However, the 1mb setting has worked previously. I tested changing my default app to textra. Through this 1mb and 2mb photos a being send.
I’m using Greentel (Telenor network). The app textra seems to be a workaround - maybe check it out.
I have this issue too. I’ve noticed that if I reboot and try to send the photo again right after it usually works. It’s a pain to reboot my phone every time I send a photo though.
